No man would want such a lifestyle to ever end. You answer to no one, you come and go as you please, and you can have a different woman for each day of the week. It’s like being a kid in a candy store with an unlimited budget.
But after years of drunken nights and one night stands, things start to lose their luster. The bar and club is not as appealing anymore. Juggling women is starting to become a task. You my friend are starting to get tired of the Bachelor Life.
Don’t be alarmed, this happens to almost all of us. Some may get tired of it sooner than others, but for the most part we all hit that wall where we’re tired of being in the game and just want to retire our jersey.
If you’re not quite sure if you’re reaching that point where you want to turn in your playa card, don’t worry, we got you. These are the sure fire ways to tell that you’re ready to stop dealing with just the woman for the night, and start looking for Mrs. Right.
You don’t want to go through the process of “The Chase”
Part of the fun of picking up different women is the chase. And this day and age, the chase comes in many forms. You got the old fashion way by going to the club and bar to pick up women. But now you can pick up women without leaving your house via the Internet. So instead of having to choose from only the women you see at a club, now we can access hundreds, if not thousands of women at the swipe of our fingers.
So whether you’re hitting the dance floor or hitting her DMs, there’s the work that we have to do to get what we want. And that’s the problem, its work. Work that can get old after a while. Buying drinks gets old. Putting up a front that you really care about her interest, when you really just want what’s between her legs gets old.
After a while, you just don’t feel like going on the hunt anymore. It gets monotonous.
You’re tired of going on dates
You got to pay to play. Part of the process of accumulating women is going on dates. Meeting up for drinks. Taking them to nice restaurants. Movies, coffee shops, etc. Whether you’re casually dating or in a full blown relationship, women cost money. And spending money over and over again for women that you’re not really that serious about can start to feel like a household expense after a while. It’s like paying for a newspaper subscription when you only read the sports section.
In addition to the cost, you have to go over the same “getting to know somebody” process over and over again. It’s but so many times that you want to hear different people’s boring life story for the 100th time. You also have to factor in some of the dates that are just flat out terrible and you and the other person have no chemistry whatsoever. Dating can be fun, but once you’re over it you’re over it.
The sex is not as fun anymore
Let me clarify; sex is always fun. But after sleeping with copious amounts of different women, and satisfying your appetite to experience variety, it can just not be as much fun anymore. Once we’ve reached that point where we’ve finished sowing our wild oats, we begin to focus on quality over quantity. Don’t get me wrong, the thrill of wanting to add another notch to the belt does not totally go away; but you realize that there are more important things that you’re after.
You feel bad about using women
Contrary to popular belief, not all men are dogs. There are times when we are compassionate about other’s feelings. Over the course of you interacting with varies women, you actually meet some pretty awesome people. You meet women that are real good people and are looking for something serious. Problem for women is that they can meet us when we’re in our man-whore stage and are not looking to settle down. And of course that leads to you hurting a few women’s heart. After a while hurting someone can ultimately make you feel bad and reevaluate the way you treat people.
You seek companionship and want to start a family
Let’s face it, as humans we all want companionship in some shape or form. And a lot of us want the companionship of a partner or spouse. Instead of meaningless tryst, you want to invest into and build with someone. You want to eventually start a family.
Once you start feeling like this then it’s definitely time to consider bowing out gracefully from the life of a Bachelor. Finding someone you can become a unit with is extremely gratifying. It brings meaning and purpose to your life that you can’t experience with anything else.
Out of all the things mentioned, just be sure to not force things and allow things to naturally happen. You don’t want to prematurely turn in your playa card if you still have some playa left in you.
